CELIA SLATTERY WORKSHOPS

During the 2016-2017 school year, Celia Slattery Studio presents a series of workshops in which she dives deep into the “Whole Singer Approach” she uses with her students (below). Each workshop focuses on different aspects of training, helping you access new levels of expression, ease and increased command over your instrument like never before.

 SING BETTER WITH SVW*
techniqueartistryperformance

(SVW = Somatic Voicework ™ the LoVetri Method)

Somatic Voicework™ the LoVetri Method is a state-of-the-art vocal technique designed specifically for the demands of Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM); ie. folk, rock, jazz, pop, & musical theater.

While building on the foundation of classical voice training, SVW recognizes that contemporary genres require a different approach to technique and have unique stylistic considerations. SVW is a functional approach that draws upon the latest research in voice medicine and science and promotes healthy singing.

This is an opportunity to work on different aspects of CCM singing including:

  • Vocal Technique: learn the difference between “mix” and “belt,” and when to use them.
  • Healthy Singing: Learn a functional approach to making the sounds you want.
  • Style and Interpretation: Learn how to be a more authentic and expressive performer.
